LA  is a lonely city, even when you have friends.  You need to give yourself time to make connections both business and personal.

The best advice about moving here I ever got was this ( from a famous actor who “made it”).

“When you first get to LA  give yourself a year before you decide if you want to stay or leave.  If you decide to leave, give yourself another year before you do so.  You got to be here for 2 years before you even begin to make the connections you need to succeed in this town.”

So there you have it…You need to think of your journey to LA lasting at least two years, and during that time, if you are like most of us you will want to leave.

Know this, when you feel lonely and cut-off you are not alone…we all have felt the same way, it gets better.
